Okay if you don’t live under a rock which I’m assuming you don’t lol, you have to have noticed that there’s something going on with this relatively new tool everyone’s clamoring about called the internet. It’s been predicted that by the year 2020 40% of the work force will ether be private contractors working for themselves or home based business owners doing business on the internet. Yes the online entrepreneurial revolution has begun.
In order to get started all that’s needed is a laptop wireless connection and a cell phone, being a long time traditional business owner myself I find it absolutely amazing how easy it is to be up and running with your own online presence via a blog, website, article marketing, video marketing in no time. Now don’t me wrong, because building a business online is essentially the same as building one offline.
Many people think that the internet is some kind of ATM cash machine, throw up a blog do a couple of videos and wait for the money to start pouring in. Believe me it doesn’t work that way, it requires the proper mindset, determination, consistency, and the ability to take action on a daily basis. There is no magic involved with success on the internet, the internet is nothing more than a tool and just like any other tool if used correctly your results are totally dependent on how YOU.
You know I read an article on one of my favorite blogs that right now at this point and time in history that it is more advantageous to own your own business than it is to have a job. Web 2.0, social media what you want to call it has leveled the playing field. But it’s up to you to take action, if you ever thought about starting your business now is the perfect time to do it.
