Call Tracking and Call Recording–Increase Your Profits

Almost everyone who is in the service or sales industries is looking for competitive means to increase their ROI (return on investment) and their overall profit scheme.  If someone isn’t doing this, chances are they will not remain a viable business for long.  As our world has grown exponentially over the past three or four decades, we have become even more of a people who rely on information–immediate and accurate.  One of the most creative and best ways to improve profit margins is to utilize call tracking and call recording.

With this process, there are a couple of ways to track calls.  The first is inbound call tracking.  One places an ad in whatever other form of media desired (television, radio, print news, etc.) and there is a specific phone number accorded each outlet.  The customer can see which medium is the most effective for them in terms of the amount of responses versus the population targeted.  The other form of tracking is outbound call tracking.  In this process, phone conversations are recorded and this information that is received can be used for a variety of purposes.

Recorded calls can be listened to at any later time.  You can monitor the effectiveness of your training program by listening to how well your people do.  Are calls being answered promptly, courteously, and informatively?  What information are your people giving out?  Do you have a problematic employee?  How are your customers reacting to all of this?  And, probably the biggest question, especially for telemarketers, how effective is your training program in terms of actually closing out a sale?  What is the closing rate for your best people?  What about your worst?  What are the habits, traits, and performance components that separate the two?  How can you effectively tailor your hiring and training programs to improve upon results?

As you can see, call tracking and call recording can play an invaluable role in building and growing a business.  Instead of past times where money was almost just “thrown to the wind” to see where it “stuck,” this is methodical and highly rewarding venture to invest some monies in.  The returns on this investment can be phenomenal.
